INSPECTION QUESTIONS

Typically, a building inspection takes about one hour to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the property being inspected.

We strive to offer a fixed price for most inspections, based on the size and type of the property being inspected. However, in some cases, the complexity of the property or the presence of specific concerns may require additional time and resources, resulting in a fee that may vary from our standard pricing.

If you require an urgent inspection, please give us a call instead of booking online as we may have flexible scheduling options available to accommodate your needs.

Inspection reports will be delivered to you in PDF format via email within one business day of the inspection appointment, providing you with a comprehensive and easy-to-understand assessment of the property.

Clients are encouraged to attend the inspection, as it provides an opportunity to see the property firsthand and ask questions directly to the inspector. Attending the inspection can also help you to better understand the condition of the property and make informed decisions about your next steps.

Getting a building inspection before purchasing a property is crucial as it helps to uncover any potential issues or hidden problems with the property. By having a thorough understanding of the condition of the property, you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the purchase, negotiate on price, or look for another property.

A professional building and pest inspection is a comprehensive evaluation of the property’s condition, including a detailed examination of the structure, electrical and plumbing systems, roof, walls, floors, windows, and doors. You can expect a clear and concise report that includes an assessment of any identified issues, along with recommendations for repair or further action, if necessary.

Our team is always available to answer any follow-up questions or address any concerns you may have after you receive the inspection report. We want to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the condition of the property and that any necessary steps are taken to address any issues.

Our company is fully insured and compliant with all relevant Australian insurance requirements for the building and pest inspection industries, ensuring that you are protected and that our inspectors are equipped to handle any potential risks during the inspection process.

Our inspectors have extensive building industry experience and undergo regular training to maintain their certifications and stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and practices. This ensures that you receive the highest level of service and that the inspection results are accurate and reliable.

The Australian Standards provide guidance and a set of minimum requirements for building inspections, which are often referenced in contracts of sale when buying a house in Australia. The Standards outline the scope and methodology for building inspections, ensuring that they are comprehensive and consistent.

By using the Standards as a basis for building inspections, buyers can have confidence that the inspection process will provide them with an accurate assessment of the property’s condition. This information is used to inform the negotiation of the sale price and can also be used as a basis for requesting repairs or other actions from the seller.

The Standards are widely recognised and respected by the building industry in Australia, making them an important reference point for contracts of sale, helping to ensure a fair and transparent process for both buyers and sellers.

As part of our home inspections, we can access the roof space if there is reason for concern, provided that it is safe to do so. This allows us to thoroughly inspect the roof structure and identify any areas of concern, such as damage or signs of pest infestation. By providing a comprehensive examination of the roof, we can give you a clear understanding of the overall condition of the property and help you make informed decisions about your purchase.

Getting a building inspection for a new home is a good idea because even though the property may appear to be in pristine condition, there may be hidden structural issues or non-compliances with building codes and regulations that could affect its value and safety. A professional building inspection will uncover any potential problems and provide you with a comprehensive report, giving you peace of mind and the information you need to make an informed decision about your purchase.
